Ch Kayas a Dance with Tom Jones

Our Jones is a very dear little guy. If you are wondering about his name, he has an interesting story. My Grandmother loved Tom Jones. He was born the day after my Grandmother had passed. My Grandmother (who we called “Meme”) was in the hospital on her last day surrounded by her children and grandchildren. My Cousin Charlotte (who is very spiritual) was talking about how Meme would soon regain her youth and dance again. My aunt Arlene (who knew her best and lived with her) piped in with “she was too holy of a woman to dance, and she wouldn’t ever let us dance either, we never got to go to school dances when we were growing up”. To which I replied “Arlene, that is Bull*&%^, because I remember you and Meme making me go to a Tom Jones concert as a child, and Meme was dancing like a crazy woman”. Everyone got a laugh, and Arlene said “well, she may have made an exception for Tom Jones”. Jones is named in honor of an amazing lady, who showed me such immense love.

Jones is out of my beloved boy, Tux, and a very feisty little performance girl named Rio (owned and spoiled Elizabeth Staley Johnson, and Michael Johnson). He is line bred Granddaughter to Grandson breeding from Krak-mont’s Final Edition, Gus, for those who knew him. Jones finished his championship at 8 months old, which is very fast by any standard. He has the sweetest temperament just like his father, but has the playful attitude of his mother. As an added bonus he loves to be in the show ring. He has been Baer tested as having normal hearing, and we are going to have his other health clearances done before he is offered up for stud.
